Cashback Terms
How cashback is tracked, confirmed and paid. Written plainly, because you should be able to understand what you are owed.
This document is complete but has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
It describes accurately what CashBharo does with your data today, and we intend to follow it. It has not yet been through legal review, and the company registration it will name is still in progress. If anything here matters to you, please ask us at support@cashbharo.com before relying on it.
Effective from 18 September 2026
These Cashback Terms form part of our Terms of Use and explain exactly how cashback works. Where these terms and the Terms of Use differ on a cashback question, these terms apply.
1. How cashback is earned
Start at CashBharo, click through to the Store from a link on our site, and complete your purchase in the session that click opens. The Store’s affiliate network records that the visit came from us, tells us about the order, and pays us a commission. We credit your share to your account.
If you do not start from CashBharo, there is nothing to record, and there is no cashback. This is the single most common reason a purchase does not track.
2. Tracking is not guaranteed
We depend entirely on the Store and its affiliate network to tell us your order happened. We cannot see your order any other way. Tracking commonly fails when:
- you visited the Store first, or through another site, advertisement or cashback service, before or after clicking our link;
- you used a coupon code that did not come from our listing for that Store;
- an ad blocker, tracking blocker, privacy browser setting or private browsing window stopped the tracking;
- you clicked our link but completed the purchase in the Store’s mobile app rather than the browser session we opened;
- you took a long time to complete the order, and the Store’s tracking window expired;
- you used a gift card, wallet balance, or a payment method the Store excludes from commission;
- the Store cancelled, edited or partly refunded the order.
We will do what we reasonably can to chase a missing order, but we cannot pay cashback the Store has not reported and paid us for.
3. Rates
The rate shown against a Store is the share we expect to pass on to you, expressed on the order value the Store reports to us, excluding shipping, taxes and any part of the order the Store excludes from commission. Where a Store pays different rates by product category, we show the phrase “Up to” and the highest rate.
Stores change their rates, often at short notice. The rate that applies to your order is the rate in force at the moment you clicked through, and it may differ from the rate shown on the site today.
4. What happens to your cashback, and when
Your cashback moves through three states.
Pending. We have been told about your order but have not been paid for it. Pending cashback is an expectation, not a promise. It can still be reduced or removed.
Confirmed. The affiliate network has paid us for your order. Only confirmed cashback can be withdrawn.
Paid. We have sent it to your bank account or UPI identifier.
Most Stores allow a return window of one to two weeks, then reconcile, then pay the network, and the network then pays us. In practice cashback confirms around three months after your order, and sometimes later for travel, financial services and large marketplaces. We confirm your cashback only once we have actually been paid, which means confirmation always comes after your return window has closed.
5. Reversals
If you cancel an order, return it, or a Store reduces or refuses the commission on it, the cashback on that order is reversed.
- If the cashback was still pending, it is removed.
- If it had been confirmed but not yet withdrawn, it is deducted from your confirmed balance.
- If it had already been paid to you, we do not ask you to give it back. We absorb it.
Because confirmation happens only after the network has paid us, which is after your return window has closed, a reversal after payout should be rare. The position above applies if it happens anyway.
Nothing in this section applies to cashback cancelled for fraud or breach of the Terms of Use, which is dealt with in section 9.
6. Missing cashback
If an order does not appear in your account within seven days, raise a missing cashback claim from your account. You must raise it within 90 days of the order date. After that the affiliate network will no longer investigate, so neither can we.
Have your Store order number and order date ready. We pass the claim to the network and tell you the outcome. Claims typically take four to eight weeks because they sit in the network’s and the Store’s queues, not ours.
A claim outcome is the Store’s decision, not ours. If the Store says the order did not track through us, we cannot overturn it.
7. Withdrawing your cashback
You can withdraw once your confirmed balance reaches Rs 250.
We pay to a bank account or UPI identifier in your own name. We do not pay to a third party’s account. If you change your payout details, withdrawals are held for 24 hours. This protects you if someone gets into your account, and it is not negotiable.
We process approved withdrawals in batches. Allow a few working days for the money to reach you. If a transfer fails because the details are wrong, the amount goes back to your confirmed balance and we will ask you to correct them.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before a first withdrawal, or where a pattern looks unusual. We ask for the least we need.
8. Inactive accounts
If you do not sign in and have no cashback activity for 12 months, your account is treated as inactive and any confirmed balance is forfeited.
We will not do this quietly. We will email you twice first: once after 10 months of inactivity, and again 30 days before the balance would be forfeited. Signing in at any point resets the clock.
If your account is approaching inactivity and your confirmed balance is below Rs 250, the minimum does not apply to you. You may withdraw whatever you have. We are not going to hold money you cannot reach and then take it.
9. Fraud and abuse
Cashback is cancelled, and the account may be closed, where we find on reasonable grounds that it was generated by:
- more than one account held by the same person;
- orders placed with the intention of returning them;
- bulk or reseller buying through a consumer account;
- automated clicks, orders or traffic;
- use of another person’s payment instrument or payout details;
- any other breach of section 6 of the Terms of Use.
We will tell you what we found and give you a chance to respond through the grievance process before a closure becomes final, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
10. Tax
Cashback is a rebate on your own purchase. We do not deduct tax from it. You are responsible for your own tax position on any benefit you receive, and we do not give tax advice. If the law ever requires us to withhold or report, we will do so and tell you.
11. Changes
We may change these Cashback Terms in the way described in section 15 of the Terms of Use. Cashback you have already earned is governed by the terms in force when you earned it.
Grievance Officer
We acknowledge complaints within 2 days and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
