Why phones need a little more care
When you click through from CashBharo, the store's affiliate network records that your visit came from us, usually in the browser that opened the link. Your order is matched to that record. On a phone, three things can get in the way:
- The store's app. A link can open the store's app instead of its website. Whether an order placed in the app is credited varies from store to store, and many are not.
- Browsers inside other apps. A link opened from inside WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram opens in that app's own built-in browser, which keeps its own records. If you then switch to your usual browser to pay, the link to your click is lost.
- Private tabs and content blockers, which can stop the record being kept at all.
The steps that work
- Open CashBharo in your phone's main browser, such as Chrome or Safari. If you followed a link inside a chat app, use its "Open in browser" option first.
- Sign in. A click only counts when it is made from a signed-in account.
- Tap through to the store and finish the order in the tab that opens. If your phone offers to switch to the store's app, stay in the browser where you can.
- Use a normal tab, not a private one, and pause any content blocker for the store.
- Go straight to checkout. Visiting another coupon or cashback site on the way can hand the credit to that site.
If the app opened anyway
Finish your order if you need to. If it has not appeared in your account within seven days, raise a missing cashback claim and mention that the order was placed in the app. The store decides whether app orders are credited.
One account on every device
Your CashBharo account is the same on your phone and your computer. Sign in on whichever you shop on, and your cashback all lands in the same place.
